Well, another day. Empty. No plans. Lots of hours ahead. :)
Summer is always an interesting time. I love the clean slate of making up what we do for the day, and not really having a schedule, but sometimes it can be overwhelming. When you have so many things you'd like to do and a lot of time to do it in, where do you start?! That's my problem today. (Glenn is laughing at me from his desk, I'm sure. "I'd love to have THAT problem!" - I love you, honey!)
The list of "to do" stretches long:
1. Paint (Glenn's office, the hallway downstairs)
2. Clean the 'junk' drawer
3. Water the garden
4. Grocery shop
5. Walk the dogs
6. Laundry
7. Bottle Depot
8. Tidy the garage
9. Sort through our piles of 'unused' stuff and find things to sell on Craigs List
10. Plan and prep lunch & dinner
Ok, that's just 10 off the top of my head. Now, where to start. Seems to make sense to go from the top down, or in order of importance or urgency. But I've been finding that I'm starting one job and then half way through going on to another job, then on and on. I've got a few of these things half done, but either have lost interest or just got distracted. It's the beauty of summer vacation as well, having the freedom to putter. But it does nothing for my desire to check things off the list!
Ah well, I guess I'll just have to relax a little. Chill out and go with the flow for now. And I'll think I'll start it off right with a cup of coffee!
